FAQ
Common questions, short answers.
What does Degreiva do?
Degreiva publishes free, plain-language education grant information. It is run by The Nelson M Group LLC.
Will schools or lenders see what I submit?
No. What you send stays with us and is not sold, rented or passed to schools, lenders, scholarship services or other partners. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how it is used.
Do you tell me if I qualify?
No. Only the program or your school decides eligibility. We explain the usual rules in plain language so you can check them yourself.
Can you check on my application?
No. We never see applications. The program or your school’s aid office can tell you where yours stands.
How do I unsubscribe or have my data deleted?
Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to [email protected].
Will you evaluate my transcript?
No. Schools perform transfer evaluations.
Do you recommend programs?
No. We do not rank or match.
How many texts will I get?
Not often. Message frequency varies, topping out around 8 a month, and message and data rates may apply.
What does signing up give me?
You get information on the topic you pick, sent by email if you leave an address. Opt in to texts and short messages point you to the same guides.
How do I stop texts?
Just reply STOP. HELP brings up help information, and [email protected] works too.
Do I have to give a phone number, email or ZIP code?
No. The contact fields are optional. Name, topic and the privacy checkbox are what the form needs.
Do I need to opt in to text messages?
No. You are only texted if you tick a box yourself, and there is two separate unchecked boxes to choose from. Leaving it blank is fine.
Who runs Degreiva, and is it a school, grant program or lender?
No, we are a reading resource. Degreiva runs no grant program and acts for no school or lender, and nothing on it is financial, legal or admissions advice.
Will you apply for me or match me with programs?
No. We do not fill in forms for anyone, and we do not recommend, rank or match you with schools or programs.
